Billing, Plans and Metering
Metrum Insights is a subscription product. The subscription covers the platform itself: the control plane, benchmark tools, dashboards, reports, and support. Your compute (cloud instances, on-premises servers, inference endpoints) stays between you and your provider. Metrum never marks up infrastructure.
This page explains the plans, what each one includes, how to pay through Stripe, and how usage is metered.
Plans
Metrum Insights offers four tiers. Tier 1 is self-serve through Stripe Checkout. Tiers 2, 3, and 4 are arranged with the sales team on annual or multi-year contracts.
Tier 1: Inference (self-serve)
Tier 1 plans are purchased directly from the pricing page with a credit card. They are designed for individuals and small teams running LLM benchmarks.
| Plan | Price | Seats | Benchmark runs / month | Targets | Key features |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo Monthly | $99 / month | 1 | 20 | 5 | LLM benchmarking on vLLM, SGLang, TensorRT-LLM; NVIDIA, AMD, TPU hardware; KYAI quality evaluation; basic reports |
| Solo Annual | $1,000 / year | 1 | 20 | 5 | Everything in Solo Monthly, plus annual billing |
| Team Annual | $5,000 / year | 5 | 100 | 15 | Everything in Solo Annual, plus team collaboration |
| Org Annual | $12,000 / year | 25 | 500 | 25 | Everything in Team Annual, plus audit log |
A seat is a user account that can create projects, run benchmarks, and manage results. Read-only members who only view reports do not consume a paid seat.
A target is one registered endpoint or hardware configuration available for benchmarking. A cloud GPU instance, an on-premises server, or a hosted inference API each count as one target.
Solo plans enforce a hard cap on targets. Once you reach the included count, additional registrations are blocked until you remove an existing target or upgrade. Team and Org plans support target overage, billed per additional target per year on your next invoice.
Tier 2: Multimodal (sales-assisted)
Multimodal plans add audio, vision, and image generation workloads on top of everything in Tier 1. They are sold on annual contracts.
| Plan | Price | Seats | Benchmark runs / month | Targets |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Multimodal Starter | $30,000 / year | 5 | 500 | 45 |
| Multimodal Standard | $50,000 / year | 10 | 800 | 45 |
| Multimodal Premium | $80,000 / year | 25 | 1,500 | 45 |
Multimodal includes: ASR, VLM, and image generation benchmarking; multi-node vLLM; advanced reports and PDF export; basic RBAC and SSO; team collaboration; audit log.
Tier 3: Pro (sales-assisted)
Pro plans add the full Power Tools suite and advanced reporting for platform teams and ISVs.
| Plan | Price | Seats | Benchmark runs / month | Targets |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro Standard | $90,000 / year | 10 | 1,000 | 75 |
| Pro Premium | $135,000 / year | 25 | 1,500 | 75 |
| Pro Plus | $180,000 / year | 50 | Unlimited | 75 |
Pro includes everything in Multimodal, plus: Creator, Tokenomist, Open-Weight Leaderboard, Agentic Leaderboard, MLPerf endpoints, and VectorDB benchmarking.
Tier 4: Enterprise (sales-assisted)
Enterprise plans are for on-premises deployment, regulated industries, and strategic accounts.
| Plan | Price | Seats | Targets |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enterprise Compact On-Prem | $180,000 / year | 25 | Unlimited (fair use) |
| Enterprise Standard EA | $300,000 / year | 50 | Unlimited (fair use) |
| Enterprise Strategic EA | $500,000 / year | Unlimited | Unlimited (fair use) |
Enterprise includes everything in Pro, plus: on-premises self-managed installation, hardened RBAC and SSO, CI/CD automation, expanded hardware support (Cerebras, Groq, TPU v6, Tenstorrent), TCO, energy, and Pareto reports, RLHF and reinforcement learning workloads, and a dedicated Technical Account Manager.
Air-gapped operation is available on Standard EA and Strategic EA. On Compact On-Prem it is available as an add-on.
How to subscribe (Stripe Checkout)
Tier 1 plans are purchased through Stripe Checkout. The flow is:
- Choose a plan. Go to the pricing page (
/plans) and select Solo Monthly, Solo Annual, Team Annual, or Org Annual. - Choose a workspace. If you own more than one workspace, pick the one to subscribe. If you have only one, it is selected automatically.
- Confirm on Stripe. You are redirected to Stripe's secure checkout page. Enter your payment details and confirm.
- Return to Metrum. After payment, you are redirected back to the Billing page. An activation checklist shows progress: payment received, workspace activated, ready to benchmark. This usually completes in a few seconds and updates on its own.
- Start benchmarking. Once activation is complete, click Create your first benchmark to go to your first project.
If you already have a subscription and want to change plans, the flow is similar. You choose the new plan, confirm the change (the current plan ends and its unused time becomes a credit), then complete payment on Stripe. The credit is applied to the first invoice of the new plan.
Managing your subscription
The Billing page (/billing) is the central place for subscription
management. From there you can:
- View your current plan, status, and next billing date.
- See usage against your seat, run, and target limits.
- Update your payment method (card details are handled by Stripe; Metrum never stores them).
- View and download invoices.
- Purchase additional seats or add-ons.
- Cancel or reactivate your subscription.
- Change plans (upgrade or downgrade).
Plan changes
Plan changes are immediate. Your current plan ends, its unused time becomes a credit on your Stripe customer account, and that credit is applied to the new plan's first invoice. You see the exact amount before you confirm. Nothing is charged until you do.
If you start a plan change but do not complete payment, the credit stays on your account. You can resume the change later from the Billing page.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current billing period. You keep full access until then. You can reactivate before the period ends if you change your mind.
Refunds
Solo Monthly can be cancelled any time with no penalty. Solo Annual includes a 30-day refund window from the start of the term. Team Annual and Org Annual are annual terms; refund requests are reviewed individually. Contact support through the Billing page or at insights-support@metrum.ai.
Add-ons
Add-ons extend your plan with additional features or capacity. They are purchased from the Billing page and billed annually alongside your subscription.
| Add-on | What it adds | Available on |
|---|---|---|
| Image Generation Pack | Image generation benchmarking | Multimodal, Pro |
| Air Gap | Air-gapped / offline deployment | Enterprise Compact |
| Customer Dataset Evals | Evaluation on your own datasets | Enterprise Compact, Standard EA |
| Extra Runs 100 | +100 benchmark runs per month | All plans |
| Seat Pack 5 | +5 user seats | All plans |
| Seat Pack 10 | +10 user seats | All plans |
| SE Block 40h | 40 hours of Solutions Engineer time | All plans |
Add-ons are provisioned automatically when the Stripe payment completes. No manual activation is required.
How usage is metered
Metrum Insights meters three resources against your plan limits:
| Resource | What it counts | Reset period |
|---|---|---|
| Seats | Active user accounts in your workspace | Does not reset; based on current membership |
| Benchmark runs | Completed benchmark runs | Calendar month |
| Targets | Registered endpoints and hardware configurations | Does not reset; based on current registrations |
Usage is checked in real time. When you approach a limit, a notification appears on the Billing page. When you exceed a limit:
- Solo plans: Additional targets are blocked. You must remove an existing target or upgrade.
- Team and Org plans: Target overage is allowed and billed per additional target per year on your next invoice.
- All plans: If you exceed your monthly run limit, additional runs are blocked until the next calendar month or you purchase an Extra Runs add-on.
Cloud GPU costs are separate. If you use Metrum's cloud provisioning, the infrastructure cost is passed through from the provider at cost. Metrum does not mark up compute.
Invoices and payment methods
Invoices are listed on the Billing page. You can view the invoice PDF in a new tab. Invoices are issued by Stripe on each billing date.
Payment methods are managed through Stripe's secure payment element embedded in the Billing page. You can add, update, or remove cards without leaving Metrum Insights. Card details are never stored on Metrum servers.
Enterprise customers on annual contracts are billed by invoice with ACH or wire transfer. Contact your account manager for invoice questions.
